STAY IN THE GAME

Stay in the Game (Oyunda Kal) is a social responsibility project brought to life by Darüşşafaka Doğuş Basketball aiming to keep youth away from harmful habits by directing them to basketball and sports.

Our main reason to increase the attractiveness of basketball fields is to ensure children easy access to the game, and spend their time on useful activities.

Within the scope of the project, we conduct the necessary repair and maintenance of basketball courts and build new ones. In addition to 10 courts already renewed, 10 more are in the pipeline.

We also started to promote our project in the second half of the academic year (February 2015) in collaboration with UGLA (International Young Leaders Academy), which is a project partner of UNICEF, and the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, visiting 37 state schools from all districts of İstanbul.

Turkish Green Crescent Association has honored this year the Stay in the Game Project, which fights with harmful habits, with Phoenix (Zümrüdüanka) Award in the ‘Social Responsibility’ category.
