EUROLEAGUE

 

In 2015, Doğuş Group commenced a two-year sponsorship agreement with Euroleague, Europe’s foremost basketball organization. Through this sponsorship Doğuş Group has demonstrated its commitment to basketball as well as to corporate excellence and social welfare. Doğuş Group is an official premium sponsor of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and Eurocup across the region and in Europe alongside its corporate social responsibility objectives.

During the 2015-16 season Doğuş Group was one of the biggest supporters of Euroleague and Eurocup in which a total of 60 teams competed, including eight from Türkiye. The Euroleague changed its format and started the historic 2016-17 season with fewer teams but with more games and greater competition. With three of four Turkish teams qualified for the playoffs, this season has been an unforgettable one in particular for Turkish Basketball. In this historic season, Doğuş Group continues to be one of the most important sponsors of the Euroleague.

In line with this, Doğuş Group believes in using basketball to achieve real social impact in programs such as Euroleague and its related social responsibility project One Team. The internationally awarded Stay in the Game project which was developed to this end, is spreading from Türkiye to Europe as part of the One Team program. New courts are being constructed or existing courts renewed through this project in order to provide disadvantaged children with the opportunity to play basketball on nice courts. Since beginning in 2014, the Stay in the Game project has renovated 58 courts in 35 cities in four countries and reached a total of 80,000 children.
