VOLKSWAGEN EDUCATIONAL LABORATORIES

Doğuş Otomotiv continued to work with vocational high schools all over the country, expanding the program to include a new class in 2015.

In 2015, Volkswagen ramped up its support of educational programs by starting a new class and by completing the construction of the sixth Volkswagen Education Laboratory at the Antalya Konyaaltı Bahtılı Vocational and Technical Anadolu High School.

Under an agreement with the Ministry of National Education, Volkswagen provided support for the physical improvement, equipment, material and installation at the school. As of 2015, Doğuş Otomotiv Volkswagen Education Laboratories are operating in six high schools: İstanbul Şişli Technical and Industrial Vocational High School , Samandıra Technical and Industrial Vocational High School, Ankara Gazi Technical and Industrial Vocational High School, Diyarbakır Burhanettin Yıldız Technical and Industrial Vocational High School, Adıyaman Besni Osman İsot Vocational and Technical Anadolu High School, Antalya Konyaaltı Bahtılı Vocational and Technical Anadolu High School.

Renovations were made in 2015 at the Volkswagen Educational Laboratory Şişli Industrial Vocational High School to renew the classroom, workshop and training devices and to update the materials and equipment. Doğuş Otomotiv donated over 500,000 TL to the Volkswagen Educational Laboratory for this purpose. In addition, Doğuş Oto Maslak started a class on Bodywork and Paint during the year at the school.

During the 2015 - 2016 school year, 123 students enrolled in our program in six schools. Internships for 150 students from four schools were provided by 18 of our Authorized Service outlets while jobs were found for some graduates at Authorized Service Centers. A total of 64 students graduated from the above mentioned classes in 2015. Of these, 16 went to work at Authorized Service Centers, 31 continued their education at colleges or universities and 17 found jobs in other sectors or for other brands. The total number of graduates from the program at all schools reached 354 in 2015 while the number of students enrolled in the program increased to 263. Graduates from Şişli Industrial Vocational High School and Ankara Gazi Industrial Vocational School make up 182 of the employees at Doğuş Otomotiv. In relation to this program, we intend to set up a system that can follow up on current students as well as graduates.
