TRAFFIC RESPONSIBILITY ACTION

Traffic Responsibility Action (Trafikte Sorumluluk Hareketi) is a corporate social responsibility program carried out under the coordination of the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, in cooperation with institutions and organizations that operate in the field of traffic and vehicle safety, and with the support of TÜVTÜRK.

Traffic Responsibility Action aims to take protective actions for safety of life and enhance the sense of responsibility by raising public awareness. Traffic Responsibility Action is carried out on the basis that producing permanent and sustainable solutions to the problem of safety of life in traffic is only possible with the participation of relevant stakeholders. It is a corporate social responsibility platform aiming to reach the target audience with public education and awareness activities.

Traffic Responsibility Action started on May, 4th 2010 and is carried out with three sub-projects. With the Safe Vehicle Movement project, 260,000 people in 40 cities have been reached through field activities and 3,000 commercial vehicle drivers have attended training sessions so far. Within the scope of Responsible Citizen Movement 2,500 teachers and 50,000 trainees were reached. 3,250 teachers, 125,000 students, 250,000 parents and 6,500 student shuttle drivers from 36 different cities attended the activities of Friends of Life Movement.
