Ayhan Şahenk Foundation has been established by the founder and the eternal president of Doğuş Group, dear departed Mr. Ayhan Şahenk in order to institutionalize and to ensure the continuity of his services to the public.

Ayhan Şahenk Foundation Mobile Healthcare Units

“Mobile Healthcare Units” Project started with the aim of providing health care services to those with financial difficulties and cannot benefit from state healthcare facilities, and contributing to reduce the burden of state. The number of people who benefited from the program exceeded 434,000 since its establishment in 1997.

The studies are carried out with mobile health vehicles in primary schools during the period schools are open, and in less developed residential units in other periods. 20,000 people on average benefit from this free of charge service annually, and children constitute more than 85% of this figure.

Vehicles are designed and equipped with modern medical equipment to provide Eye and General Health Care services. There is a physician, a nurse and a transport officer in every vehicle. Eye Health, General Health and Child Health examination services are provided in these vehicles by specialist physicians, equipped with necessary medical devices. In the General Health Vehicle, biochemical tests including glucose, urea, cholesterol, liver enzymes and other 16 parameters, complete blood count and urinalysis can be conducted and ECG can be recorded.
