Blue Flag for D-Marin Didim in its first year of operation
1Having been launched last year as one of the biggest investments in Turkey in the marina industry, D-Marin Didim, as it has just completed its first year of operations successfully, has recently been awarded the "Blue Flag" award which is regarded as one of the most coveted awards of the international marina world. Receiving the Blue Flag award, one which is granted only after the completion of comprehensive inspections ranging from first and foremost the cleanliness level of the sea conducted by the International Foundation of Environmental Education (FEE) to safety and communications capabilities, in its very first year of operation, D-Marin Didim Marina has become the first marina to be granted this reward in such a short period of time.
D-Marin Didim, launched last May by the Doğuş Group which has been accelerating its investments in marina operations within the framework of horizontal and vertical expansion in the tourism industry, was found worthy of the Blue Flag award given by the International Foundation of Environmental Education.
In only ts first year of its operation, D-Marin Didim, the second marina launched in Turkey by the Doğuş Group which entered the marina industry with D-Marin Turgutreis, was found worthy of the Blue Flag award renowned for its meticulous and comprehensive criteria. The Marina that was subjected to a long process of inspections in many areas ranging from the cleanliness of the sea to safety precautions and communication capabilities is the youngest of the 14 marinas in Turkey holding the Blue Flag.
Thanks to its advantageous geographical position, D-Marin Didim Marina is only 12 miles to Türkbükü, 14 miles to Yalıkavak, 20 miles to Turgutreis, all popular resorts; and around 15-25 miles to the Greek islands of Leros, Patmos, Samos and Kalymnos.
