Dogus Enerji Uretim ve Tic. A.Ş. is the company which holds the license for Artvin Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) located 20 km south-west of Artvin on the river of Coruh with an installed capacity of 332 MW and annual expected electricity generation capacity of 1 billion kWh.
Artvin HEPP is one of the 10 hydro plant planned to be constructed on Coruh river. Two of these projects have been completed and are currently in operation.
Artvin HEPP which was currenty constructed by Dogus Insaat is expected to be operational by the end of year 2015. For the financing of the project, 540 million USD long term project finance credit has been obtained from 4 local banks.
