Refurbished courts of the "Euroleague One Team" and "Stay In the Game" collaboration opened in Athens

April 2, 2016. Just blocks away from the ancient Panathenaic Stadium, home of the first modern Olympic Games, the stars from the past, present and future of two Greek basketball institutions – great archrivals Olympiacos Piraeus and Panathinaikos Athens – gathered for an exhibition game and a special One Team training session to celebrate the arrival of the One Team - Stay in the Game initiative to the Greek capital.

Just two weeks after being launched in Istanbul, Turkey, the social project resulting from the association of Euroleague Basketball and its partner Dogus Group gave back to the Greek community for its devotion in the form of four refurbished public basketball courts in the city of Athens.

A star-studded cast of current and former Euroleague stars were on hand to unveil the upgraded court in the Athens neighborhood of Pagkrati, including: Euroleague Basketball Legend Theo Papaloukas; all-time great Fragiskos Alvertis, One Team Ambassador Miroslav Raduljica and guard Vassilis Charalampopoulos of Panathinaikos; and One Team Ambassador D.J. Strawberry and forward Ioannis Papapetrou of Olympiacos.

Also on hand to celebrate the collaboration between One Team and Stay in the Game were Mr. Giorgos Kaminis, Mayor of Athens; Mr. Chistos Tentomas, President of the city's Youth, Sports & Culture Organization; Mrs. Selin Kocak, Head of CSR at Dogus Group; and Mr. Kimon Stefos, Euroleague Basketball Head of Marketing Partnerships South-East Europe.
