TÜVTÜRK

TÜVTURK is the only corporation entitled to offer periodical vehicle inspection in Turkey and conducts its operations under the supervision of the Repuclic of Turkey Ministry of Transport and is accredited according to international ISO 17020 standards and accreditted by TÜRKAK. TÜVTURK, which represents the largest privatization project in the service sector, undertakes vehicle inspection services through its nationwide organization based on a business association system.

The fixed stations are spread out to 81 provincial cities and togather with mobile stations serve around 6 million vehicle owners with 3.000 staff annually for periodic inspection.

In addition to periodic inspection, TÜVTURK has recently started to provide Road Worthiness Test for freight vehicles bound for European Union countries in selected 21 stations and Exhaust Gas Emission Test that is required according to environmental legislation. Exhaust Emission Test is currently provided in 105 stations and the target is to increase this number to 160 by the middle of 2010.
