Doğuş Kids Symphony Orchestra was established in 2006. Doğuş Kids, a social undertaking of the Doğuş Group, aims to contribute to the social development of our children through projects in many fields, such as education, health, culture and arts.
Doğuş Kids Symphony Orchestra, with the State Artist Rengim Gökmen as the Conductor and General Music Director, features children between 10 – 16 years of age from various art schools across Turkey. The orchestra performs symphonic music for Turkish children in order to broaden its appreciation in our country.
Revenue generated from concerts of the Doğuş Kids Symphony Orchestra, are invested in instruments , which are tehn donated to Fine Arts High School students in several provinces in Turkey.
The orchestra plans to concentrate more on its concerts abroad, which will commence in 2008 and aims to promote the modern voice of Turkish child in abroad and international platforms as well.
The Doğuş Group strongly believes in investing in children and gives equal importance to the education of parents, whose actions have profound impacts on the development of their children.
Starting from their own employees, the Doğuş Group initiated a series of seminars in 2007, entitled “21st Century Life Culture Seminars”, which aim to prepare parents for the challenges of child development in the 21st century and to enable them to better understand the rapid changes taking place in the world. Under the moderation of Dr. Erdal Atabek, Social Psychologist, and with the participation of different guest speakers, the 21st Century Life Culture Seminars”, with a different subject each month, have been open to all employees of the Group along with their spouses.
