Doğuş Group Chairman Ferit F. Şahenk to evaluate “Turkey’s Political Future” with a business-world perspective at WEF Davos Summit

 

Mr. Ferit F. Sahenk, Chairman of Doğuş Group will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos and participate at the session on “Turkey’s Political Future”. Doğuş Group will also host a reception preceding the session.

 

This year the World Economic Forum 2007 in Davos (January 24-28) will bring together prominent political, business, and academic leaders from around the world. The overarching theme of this year’s meeting is, “The Shifting Power Equation.” 

 

Mr. Ferit F. Sahenk, Chairman of Doğuş Group, one of the largest conglomerate companies in Turkey, and recognized as a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum, will participate on a panel addressing “Turkey’s Political Future.”

 

A dynamic group of Turkish specialists will contribute their perspectives at the panel titled “Turkey’s Political Future”. The panel will be moderated by Raghida Dergham, a columnist of the London-based El Hayat, on Friday January 26th. The panelists include the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Turkey - Abdullah Gül, the Council on Foreign Relations / Adjunct Senior Fellow for Middle Eastern Studies - Vali Nasr, Professor of Public Economics from Leiden University of Netherlands - Victor Halberstadt, CEO of Doğan Yayın Holding - Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ and Mr. Ferit F. Sahenk. Mr. Ferit F. Şahenk will offer the business perspective during the panel.

 

Dogus Group will also host a reception preceding the session. Guests include the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Turkey, Abdullah Gül and other notable figures of political, business and academic circles.  

 

Doğuş Group was also one of the two regional partners of World Economic Forum Turkey held in İstanbul on 23-24 November, 2006.
